The computer game from hell

Remember the time when the only games available were contra, mario, pacman, spartan and the like? You probably know the thrill of finally finishing a game of mario after a month of effort, restarting the game from level one each time you lose all your lives.

So here’s a challenge to anyone who ever finished super mario with their three pathetic lives – try to finish Syobon action.

Looks familiar, right?

Syobon action begins with two lives, but lets you keep playing even when your lives hit zero or even go negative.

So in effect, you’ve got infinite lives.

So the game is gonna be easy, right?

Wrong.

Words can’t adequately describe how it feels to play the game, so here’s what you should do: Play the game.

The guy playing the game doesn’t seem to learn from his mistakes, but when you’ve got a game trying to kill you as hard as Syobon action, its easy to lose track. As one guy pointed out on a message board: “Talk about regression. From seasoned SMB player to scared shitless by what the game throws at him. “
